Kyocera Corporation recently introduced a

(CO2)-based refrigerant and is able to heat water to temperatures as high as 90
degrees Celsius “even if the outside temperature is 〔negative〕10 degrees Celsius.”

the ozone depletion potential (ODP) of the CO2 refrigerant in the Eco Cute heat
pump/water heater unit is zero, while the global warming potential (GWP) of the
refrigerants.
Additionally ,
Kyocera said the CO2 refrigerant is “non-flammable , non-toxic and common

when compared withother water-haeting system,”the company stated. ”Furthermore,

with a power company, it achieves a low running cost of approximately one-sixth
